K4TTC-ARCH

Amateur Radio Club Hohenwald

In 2002 the Electronics Technology Program at Tennessee Technology Center-Hohenwald established the ARCH to provide students, along with local citizens interested in wireless communications, a place to practice and sharpen their electronic skills while having fun. Membership is open to TTCH students and residents of Lewis and surrounding counties.

The club has monthly meetings, participates in Field Day, School Club Roundup and other contests. ARCH provides Skywarn training through the National Weather Service and has a Skywarn/ARES Training Net every Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m.

Important Updates

(1) FYI: K4TTC repeater system coverage is limited at this time.  Believe it or not, we were hit by the last two storms. The receiver site antenna was struck by lightning last week and transmitter site antenna was either struck by lightning or blown down by the 47mph winds in today's storm. We are running on auxiliary set-up so coverage is down but we are still on the air!     posted 7/29/2008

(2) We have added some educational presentations to the website about HF and repeaters.  If you are interested in viewing these presentations, please click the Presentations link on the left.
